A. Manage Fields To Be Mapped
Once you are aware of a field that needs to be mapped, open the “Manage
Fields to be Mapped” user task and enter the information into the system
by giving the producer, field description(quarter, section, township, and
range), and the county were it is located. Next, hit the “add” button.
Next, you need to assign the field to a mapper. Press “Assign to Mapper” button. At this screen, you will see a list of the newly added fields. Put a check in the box next to the fields you want to assign to a mapper by clicking on the box with the cursor. Now, select a mapper by highlighting his/her name. Lastly, press the “Assign Field(s)” button to assign it to that person. It will send a message to the mapper automatically.
Note: Make sure you remind mappers to check their messages for important information from OBWEO Administration.
C. Change a Field's Ownership
This option makes it possible to change a field’s information without having
to reenter the field. First, find the corporation that owns the field you want
to transfer and highlight it. Next, press the “select corporation”. Now on the
list of fields, put a check in the box that is next to the field you want to
change. Next, in the box under “destination corporation”, find the corporation
you want to change it to and highlight it. Now, press
“Move Field(s)” button.
