Eradication Status
The
following counties in Oklahoma
are still in an active eradication program and any farming or harvesting
equipment moving from these counties to the remainder of Oklahoma
should obtain a certificate from the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture stating
it is weevil free. These counties
are: McCurtain, Choctaw, Bryan,
Atoka, Marshall, Carter, Coal, Johnston,
Love , and in Stephens and Jefferson counties, east of
Highway 81. The remainder of Oklahoma,
besides the aforementioned counties, is designated suppressed.
This
would also apply if the equipment is being moved into a suppressed zone in Texas. As it stands now, the Northern Rolling Plains
and the Panhandle zones in Texas
are designated as suppressed. Equipment
and cotton may move freely between a suppressed zone in Texas
and the suppressed part of Oklahoma.

questions relating to this matter may be directed to OBWEO at (580) 726-4280.
